How much progress have we made?

Our Programs support the career development of women students at Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature by means of practical courses many of which run by students themselves. In this way, they become independent financially and are able to teach/learn skills useful and beneficial for their living. We have already launched 5 programs which encourages female students to be independent, busy and engaged. 1 Podcast rubrics which is named “Qizlar Gapirsin” where powerful women speak up and motivate our girls to move forward and make them feel that they are not alone.

6 creative courses for talented girls to open up to the community and support their initiatives.

Also, we are nominated as Top 10 University struggling against Gender Inequality by Times Higher Education The Impact Rankings.

How does gender equality benefit me and my community?

Advancing gender equality is vital for building a better world especially among young generation in universities, who will be aware of where poverty is reduced, health is improved, and if all children have access to education and protection. By promoting gender equality in academia, we can unlock the potential of girls and boys to achieve their full potential and contribute to a more just and equitable society.

Talented girls

We encourage all women to develop their practical skills as cooking, sewing, hair-dressing and toy-making so that they learn proper planning and preparation skills while contributing in a positive way to the health of themselves and their family and friends.

This program is a unique podcast which focuses on the most vulnerable topics regarding gender equality. We invite world-leading researchers and volunteers who are deeply encouraged by gender issues. You may learn a lot and benefit from taking insights in a very sensitive but important issues.

We empower Her Career Advancement Track: This program focuses on providing female students with comprehensive resources, mentorship, and practical training to excel in their chosen fields. Through workshops, seminars, and networking events, participants gain the confidence and skills needed to break barriers and thrive in their careers.

Women in Leadership Symposium: EmpowerHer hosts an annual symposium that brings together accomplished women leaders from various industries to share their experiences, insights, and strategies for success. This platform aims to inspire and empower female students to aspire to leadership roles and effect positive change in their communities.

Financial Freedom Workshops: Financial independence is a cornerstone of empowerment. This series of workshops equips participants with essential financial literacy skills, teaching them about budgeting, investing, and planning for their future. By gaining control over their finances, female students are better positioned to pursue their aspirations.

Skills for Life Sessions: Empower Her believes in holistic development. These interactive sessions cover a wide array of practical skills, from communication and negotiation to self-care and time management. By nurturing these life skills, participants are prepared to tackle challenges and embrace opportunities in both their personal and professional lives.

Entrepreneurship Empowerment Incubator: This program nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit within female students. It provides mentorship, resources, and guidance to help them develop and launch their own ventures. By fostering innovation and business acumen, Empower Her encourages women to become creators and leaders in the business world.

Community Outreach Initiatives: Empower Her is committed to giving back. This program involves collaboration with local organizations on initiatives that address gender-related issues in the wider community. Through volunteering and advocacy, participants actively contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable society
